The recent years have witnessed an explosion of research activities in the areas of life sciences, physical sciences and engineering with application to medical problems. Such activities require inter-disciplinary collaborations among scientists, engineers, medical researchers, and practitioners to solve complex real world problems. This conference is the premier forum where researchers can present results and innovative solutions for today’s health problems at the frontiers of Biomedical Engineering. “Smart Hybrid Biosystems” has been chosen as the theme for this year’s conference. The conference is multidisciplinary in nature comprising an eclectic mix of insightful tutorials, and technical sessions. The organization and planning of the conference enables members of our communities to broaden their knowledge in emerging areas of research at the interface of the life sciences and the circuits and systems engineering discipline.
This IEEE BioCAS 2010 Conference organizing committee invites papers and proposals for tutorials in:
1. Bioinformatics
2. Bioinspired systems
3. Biomedical imaging technologies and image processing
4. BioMEMS
5. Biomedical instrumentation
6. Biosensor devices and interface
7. Biosignal processing
8. Body area networks/body sensor network
9. Electronics for brain science
10. Implantable electronics
11. Innovative circuits for medical applications
12. Lab-on-chip
13. Medical information systems
14. Telecare systems
15. Wireless technology for medicine, biology and the life sciences
This event will give to researchers in this area a unique opportunity to broaden their
insight into the new and developing area of medical technologies and to create inter-disciplinary
bonding and come up with innovative solutions that todays healthcare problems and challenges
require.
The complete 4-page paper (in standard IEEE double-column format), including title,
authors' names, affiliations and e-mail addresses, as well as a short abstract are requested.
Papers must be submitted electronically in PDF format through http://biocas2010.e-papers.org/.
Only electronic submissions will be accepted.
A special issue consisting of the best presented papers will be published in the IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Circuits and Systems (TBCAS)
